Human Resources Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to lead and enhance our core HR systems and processes. This role is critical to executing workforce planning, talent development, and maintaining compliance with labor regulations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of HR practices, and a commitment to fostering a positive and compliant work culture.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead and continuously improve key HR systems: hiring, training, performance evaluations, compensation, and progressive discipline.
• Execute strategic talent acquisition and employee development plans in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Ensure HR policies, manuals, and procedures align with organizational goals and regulatory standards (local, state, and federal).
• Partner with internal stakeholders to monitor and enforce compliance across departments.
• Serve as a neutral mediator in workplace conflicts, particularly between employees and supervisors.
• Promote positive employee engagement and a respectful working environment.
• Assist executive management with HR budget formulation and monitor adherence.
• Oversee employee performance evaluation processes and support career development pathways.
• Manage one direct report and collaborate with the Comptroller regarding payroll and benefits administration.
• Control changes to payroll and benefits systems, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Bilingual – excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
- 5+ years of experience in a Shared Services role within an enterprise of 200+ employees.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred, with deep knowledge of labor laws and employee relations.
- Proven experience handling employee relations, investigations, and non-compliance issues.
- Strong emotional intelligence – able to listen actively, assess root causes, and provide thoughtful guidance.
- High attention to detail and good judgment in anticipating and resolving HR-related challenges.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and support multiple field teams.
- Experience using HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office.
